Gornergrat: Unique views on the Matterhorn and Gornergrat glacier
Outlook on the Gornergrat glacier from the Gornergrat station
There are two different starting places to go to view the Gornergrat glacier; the first originates in Zermatt and the other in Gornergrat station at the top of the Gornergrat Railway. The first is a there and back hike to the glacier outlook where as the other is a point to point from the top of the railway to a lower station.
This first hike is easily done from the town of Zermatt and offers a decently physical hike with an elevation increase and decrease of around 550 meters.
